There’s so much happening in YA this April! If you’re like me, just thinking about it all stresses you out… so many books, events, and more. Here’s a summary of what I’m most excited about. Enjoy!
April 12: A Fierce and Subtle Poison by Samantha Mabry comes out
This lush fantasy set in Puerto Rico is so good! So excited for it to launch and for everyone else to love it as much as I do.
April 17: Hudson Valley YA Society: Out of This World event
Held at indie bookstore, Oblong Books and Music, this event features authors Sarah Rees Brennan, Heidi Heilig (find my interview with her here: link) and Heather Demetrios. Find out more about this event here: link
April 19: The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas comes out
This book is so creepy and good…. a perfect murder mystery to curl up with on a rainy day.
April 26: The Rose and the Dagger by Renée Ahdieh and The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater come out
I’m so excited for both of these books! The Rose and the Dagger is the follow up to The Wrath and the Dawn (my review here) and The Raven King is the final book in the Raven Boys series
April 30-May 1: YALLWest Book Festival in Santa Monica, CA
This is the event I’m the most excited about! I went last year and it was so amazing. If you’re in or around the area, I absolutely recommend going (don’t worry, it’s free). See you there! Find out more about YALLWest here: link
And don’t forget – it’s National Poetry Month!
