September Wrap Up

What Happened in September?

I went back to school in September 7. I had a fantastic summer and am already counting down the days until Summer ’17. I also toured some boarding schools- high school isn’t too far away.

In book news, the movie adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children came out September 30 and Leigh Bardugo’s Crooked Kingdom came out on the 27th.

Randi Pink- Into White. Latoya Williams is a black teenager who attends an upper-class high school in Alabama. Because of the racism she experiences, she prays to change her race- and wakes up white. This exploration of race and white supremacy in the bible belt is a must read, especially now.
